Jeremy Miller is an award-winning Bay Area-based writer with over two decades of journalism and writing experience.
His stories on the environment, education, politics, and science have appeared in Harper's, The New Yorker, Outside, Wired, TIME, Orion, The New York Times, The Guardian, Pacific Standard and many others. He is also a contributing writer at Sierra Magazine, the national magazine of the Sierra Club, where for several years he wrote a monthly astronomy and dark skies column.
He has served as a media fellow at the Bill Lane Center for the American West at Stanford University and as a fellow in environmental journalism at Middlebury College.
In addition to his writing, he has taught graduate-level creative writing at the University of Denver's University College since 2009. Before that, he worked as a high school science teacher in New York City.
